Day 15: Held By Grace | Lamp & Lily | Kingdom Creations by Lily
Halfway through a devotional series is a good place to be honest. Maybe you have missed a few days. Maybe your prayers have been short. Maybe your faith has felt more like holding on than glowing.
Here is the encouragement for today: you are not held by your consistency. You are held by His grace.
Today's Scripture
"Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand." Psalms:73:23
Notice who is doing the holding
The psalm that surrounds this verse is full of doubt and frustration. The writer had watched life seem unfair and almost lost his footing.
And still: "you hold me by my right hand."
Grace is not only forgiveness for what we have done. It is God's steady grip when our own grip is weak.
When you feel like you slipped
Almost everyone reaches a point where they assume God must be disappointed in them. Grace answers that assumption directly. You do not have to earn your way back into His hand. You were never dropped.
Come honestly. Name what you have been avoiding in prayer. Then let His grace, not your guilt, set the tone.
Looking back for evidence
One of the simplest ways to strengthen faith is to remember. Look back over the past year and notice where you were carried: the provision you did not expect, the peace that arrived mid-crisis, the door that closed and protected you, the people who showed up.
That is grace holding you, often in ways you only recognize later.
Today's affirmation
I am held by God's grace.
Today's prayer
Thank You, Lord, for never letting me go. Help me rest in Your grace. Amen.
Reflection question
Where have you seen God's grace hold you? Write one moment from the past year when you were carried.
