Day 11: Fearfully Made | Lamp & Lily | Kingdom Creations by Lily
It is easy to notice what we wish were different about ourselves. The mirror, the comparison, the quiet wish to be someone a little more like the person we admire.
But you were not assembled by accident. You were made with intention, by a God who does not create carelessly.
Scripture
"I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."Psalm 139:14
Made with care, not by chance
"Fearfully" here carries the sense of awe and reverence. Your existence is not a rough draft. Your personality, your sensitivity, your creativity, your way of noticing things others miss, all of it was woven with purpose.
That includes the parts you have been tempted to apologize for.
Comparison quietly rewrites the truth
Comparison rarely announces itself. It shows up as a scroll that leaves you deflated, or a thought that says someone else is doing your calling better than you are.
Today, gently name one comparison you have been carrying. Then hand it to God rather than arguing with it.
You are not required to be a copy of anyone. You are asked to be faithful with what you were given.
Receiving yourself as a gift
Try this today: instead of listing what you would change, list three things God placed in you that can serve someone else. A steady presence. An eye for beauty. A willingness to listen. A gift for words, numbers, hospitality, or organization.
Thank Him for each one out loud. Gratitude for how you were made is not pride. It is worship.
Today's affirmation
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Today's prayer
Thank You for creating me with such care and love. Amen.
Reflection question
What unique gifts has God given you? Write three, and one way you could use one of them this week.
