Day 25: Bloom Where Planted | Lamp & Lily | Kingdom Creations by Lily
It is easy to believe that fruitfulness will begin somewhere else. In a different job, a different house, a different season of life.
Psalm 1 paints another picture: a tree that flourishes right where it is planted, because its roots reach the water.
Scripture
"That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither." Psalm 1:3
Rooted near the water
The tree in this psalm does not bloom because its circumstances are perfect. It blooms because it is planted by streams of water. Its source is steady.
When your roots go deep into God's Word and presence, you can flourish even in places you did not choose.
Fruit in season
Notice that the tree yields its fruit in season. Not every season is harvest. Some seasons are for roots, some for waiting, and some for growth no one else can see.
Do not despise a quiet season. God is still growing something in you.
Blooming today
Blooming where you are planted might look like kindness to a neighbor, faithfulness in an ordinary job, or encouragement for the people already around you.
The place you are in today is not a waiting room. It is a garden.
Today's affirmation
I can bloom where God has planted me.
Today's prayer
Father, help me put my roots deep in You. Make me fruitful right where I am, and give me patience for the seasons of growth I cannot see. Amen.
Reflection question
How can you bloom where you are planted this week?
