Day 14: Trust His Timing | Lamp & Lily | Kingdom Creations by Lily
Waiting can be harder than working. When we are working, we feel useful. When we are waiting, we wonder whether anything is happening at all.
But waiting is not wasted time in God's hands.
Scripture
"He has made everything beautiful in its time." Ecclesiastes 3:11
Beautiful in its time, not on our schedule
This verse offers comfort and a challenge in the same breath. Beauty is promised, but the timing belongs to God.
That is difficult when a prayer has gone unanswered for a long while: the healing, the opportunity, the relationship, the breakthrough in your work.
Trusting His timing does not mean pretending the wait is easy. It means refusing to conclude that delay equals denial.
What waiting can build
Some things only grow in the waiting: patience, dependence, discernment, compassion for others who are waiting too.
While you wait, you can still be faithful. Prepare. Learn. Serve. Keep your heart soft. Do the next small right thing without demanding to see the whole timeline.
Guarding your heart while you wait
Waiting tempts us toward two extremes: forcing doors open, or giving up entirely. Ask God which one you are leaning toward today.
Then pray honestly. You are allowed to tell Him the wait feels long. Honest prayer keeps the waiting from turning into distance.
Today's affirmation
God's timing is perfect.
Today's prayer
Lord, help me trust Your plan, even when I must wait. Teach me patience. Amen.
Reflection question
What are you waiting for God to do? Write it down, then write one way you can remain faithful while you wait.
