Day 12: God Is With You | Lamp & Lily | Kingdom Creations by Lily
There are seasons when the hardest part is not the task in front of you. It is the feeling that you are facing it alone.
God's answer to fear is rarely a detailed explanation. It is His presence.
Scripture
"Be strong and courageous. The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."Joshua 1:9
Courage is built on company
Joshua was stepping into something unfamiliar with people depending on him. The encouragement he received was not "you are capable enough." It was "I will be with you."
That changes how we read our own uncertainty. Courage is not the confidence that we will handle everything perfectly. It is the confidence that we are not walking in alone.
Wherever you go
Notice how wide that promise is. Not only in church, not only on good days, not only when you are praying well.
Wherever. The difficult appointment. The quiet house. The work you are unsure about. The conversation you keep postponing. The ordinary Tuesday that feels heavier than it should.
Practicing His presence today
You do not need a long quiet time to remember God is near. Try short, honest sentences throughout your day:
- "Lord, be with me in this."
- "I am not alone here."
- "Give me courage for the next ten minutes."
Presence is not something you have to earn back each morning. It is already true. Remembering it is what steadies us.
Today's affirmation
I am never alone.
Today's prayer
Thank You, God, for always being with me. Help me feel Your presence today. Amen.
Reflection question
Where do you need to feel His presence most? Write that place down and invite Him into it by name.
